The Duwende, also called as Nuno sa Punso or simply Nuno the series are dwarf like creatures. They are small and fast. They caused trouble in the human realm upon the opening of their realm to the realm of the humans by Peru-ha. They stay on anthills. When provoked or their mound is disturb they will cause illness to the offender by spitting on them. The duwende are also attracted to gold and sweets, which are considered riches and highly valued in their realm. Males can also be attracted to human females as shown when a certain Duwende was infatuated by Rosario.
